Celebrating anniversaries in Brazil and Belgium
Emirates Skycargo passed key milestones in its global freighter operations recently. The cargo division of Emirates has just completed ten years of operating dedicated cargo flights on its B777F to São Paulo Viracopos (VCP) and five years to Brussels. The Dubai-based carrier commenced freighter flights to Brazil's second biggest air cargo hub on 31 October 2010 and to the Belgian capital on 25 October 2015.
With a payload of up to 100 t of cargo and wide main deck doors, Emirates’ B777F have been at the heart of the carrier’s cargo operations since 2009. During the Covid-19 pandemic, its eleven B777F executed a big proportion of scheduled and chartered cargo operations around the world to transport medical supplies. Currently, Emirates’ full freighters operate to more than 30 destinations. (ah)
