Celebrating 17 years of partnership
Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services and Liege airport, the carrier’s main cargo hub in Europe, recently celebrated 17 years of a successful partnership. The two organizations reaffirmed their commitment to boost freighter operations and strengthen the strategic alliance that has played a significant role in connecting Europe to Africa and beyond.
Over the past 17 years, Ethiopian Cargo has played a significant role in positioning Liege airport as one of Europe’s major cargo hubs. In 2023, Ethiopian uplifted approximately 160,000 t of cargo from Liege, facilitating an efficient and reliable transport of goods between Europe, Africa, and the rest of the world.
The partners attributed the success of the hub to the combination of Ethiopian Cargo's extensive network and operational capabilities with Liege airport's modern infrastructure and efficient processes. (cj)
