Cargolux, Fracht Italia and Fomas did it again
While Covid-19 impacts the heavylift logistics sector, three partners just repeated another big project. Twelve months after a similar piece was sent from Italy to China, Fomas Group from Osnaga together with freight forwarder Fracht Italia, sent another jumbo piece onboard a Cargolux flight from Milan MXP to Zhengzhou on 13 September 2020.
The rotor, destined for a nuclear power plant in China, displays impressive dimensions: 9.45 m long for an overall weight of 36.5 t. Adding to that the weight of the equipment, the saddle and other equipment the shipment reached a total of over 42 t. (ah)
