BTK surpasses EUR 100 million in revenue and plans price increases
BTK Befrachtungs- und Transportkontor has surpassed EUR 100 million in revenue for the first time in 2024, marking a key milestone in its 25-year evolution since the management buyout in 1999.
The company has quadrupled its turnover since then and now employs 370 people. Major developments included the expansion of its fleet in 2007, entry into contract logistics in 2014 and the relocation of its headquarters to Raubling in 2023.
Rising operational costs have outpaced price increases, prompting BTK to focus on efficiency and sustainability. Up until now, the company has been able to absorb rising costs by improving efficiency, according to Josef Heiss, managing director at BTK. “Unfortunately, transport prices have to rise now, however,” said Heiss.
In 2025, investments will include new electric and bio-LNG trucks, alongside digitalisation efforts. (js)
