Breuninger boosts in Sachsenheim
A 40,000 sqm expansion in Sachsenheim (Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany) is set to enable Breuninger to work towards sustainable growth within its fashion and lifestyle business. Halle West is the newest addition to the retailer’s goods service centre, which was established in Eichenwald’s industrial district in 2019.
The original capacity of 76,000 sqm has now been enhanced to 115,000 sqm to meet customer demands at ten sites in Europe. The facility is furnished with an auto-store system, streamlining storage and retrieval processes. 745 parking places and EV charging infrastructure will support the estimated 1,700 employees at the site.
In addition to its online shop, Breuninger has outlets in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, and many more, with a new store opening in Hamburg next year. (mk)
