Bolstering LCL business
Mumbai-based ECU Worldwide has appointed Clas Thorell as global head for LCL product & yield management. He will focus on digitising services for freight forwarding partners by delivering 24×7 access to bookings and real-time tracking and build a stronger network of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and e-commerce companies globally.
Thorell will be based in ECU Worldwide's Hong Kong office. He has over two decades of experience in the ocean freight-LCL business, for instance as manager of DHL's LCL business in the Asia Pacific region.
For over a decade, he was head of Panalpina’s ocean freight-LCL business, managing global teams involving product innovations and customer service. (ah)
