Bluebird Nordic selects Nordic GSA in Denmark
Bluebird Nordic, which belongs to the Avia Solutions Group, has picked Nordic GSA in Denmark as its GSSA. The responsibilities of the ECS Group member, which was founded in 1996, cover five weekly flights between Billund and Keflavík, with import distribution operations to Northern Germany. The main commodities being moved are fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, clothing and other general freight.
Magnus Magnusson, the Icelandic cargo airline's business development director: "There is a great deal of interest from the freight forwarders in Iceland in this new lane, as it opens up new opportunities for imports from the Nordic countries that have until now only been served by passenger aircraft."
Bluebird Nordic operates a fleet of nine B737F and recently signed leases for three B777-300ER which are undergoing p2f conversions. (ah)
