Block train to Central and Eastern Europe launched
Hamburger Hafen und Logistik’s Italian multi-purpose terminal “Piattaforma Logistica Trieste” (HHLA PLT Italy) is expanding its intermodal offering and thus adding to the dynamic development of the Adriatic region.
In collaboration with its subsidiary Ceva Logistics, CMA CGM launched a new weekly intermodal container service with a block train from HHPLA’s Trieste terminal to Central and Eastern Europe at the beginning of June this year. The intermodal offering provides sustainable and efficient access to fast growing markets in the heart of Europe, the partners said.
CMA CGM is already calling HHLA PLT Italy with its TMX3 maritime service once a week, linking the port of Trieste with Malta and the ports of Ambarli, Gemlik and Gebze in Turkey. (ben)
