Block train delivers crucial medical equipment
Maersk has organised another block train service from China to Poland. The 41-container-long train left the Chinese city of Yiwu (Zhejiang province) bound for the intermodal terminal in Małaszewicze, Poland, carrying personal protective equipment procured by Zarys International Group, a major Polish medical supplies provider, and commissioned by the Polish Material Reserves Agency. The transit time was 16 days.
During 2020, Maersk ran a total of 209 tailored intercontinental trains from China to Europe. (ben)
