Biggest terminal opens single command centre
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl), the city's largest independent air cargo handler, has opened the Integrated Hactl Control Centre, as a single centre of command that is manned 24/7/365.
The iHCC centralises operations, systems and maintenance control for the first time, with duty managers able to monitor the entire "Super Terminal 1" facility (395,000 sqm floor area). "Cosac-Plus", a cargo management system that Hactl developed itself, connects all air cargo stakeholders and processes around 1 million data transactions every day.
Newly designed dashboards provide real time data and workload forecasts on all facets of operations, and a 3D schematic display system shows graphically the position all cargo and equipment in the terminal’s cargo handling systems. (ah)
