Big Lift operates vessels of new cooperation
Big Lift Shipping is to operate the four heavy transport vessels of the new cooperation it inked with Chung Yang Shipping.
The combination of two pairs of sisterships – the "Bi Lift Barentsz" and "Big Lift Baffin", plus the "CY Interocean I" and "CY Interocean II" – readies the companies for future demands in the LNG, oil & gas and renewables markets and enables them to adhere to high QHSE standards.
The vessels are almost similar with respect to deck space, however, the CY vessels have a shallower draft, which enables the carriers to serve a wider range of ports.
With the combined fleet, more flexibility and availability can be offered to a market of challenging heavy transport projects. Both Chung Yang and BigLift Shipping will provide technical and operational support in the early stages of the projects. (kd)
