Bestseller allows 10 cbm more cargo
Russian manufacturer United Wagon Company and wood merchant VIK have signed a contract for the supply of 40 flat cars for transporting timber materials. Delivery of the railcars is planned for Q2/2021.
The ordered flat car model 13-6852-02 – UWC' bestseller - allows the owner to reduce the required fleet size, speed up car turnaround time and also significantly save on the costs of cargo transportation and rolling stock maintenance.
The 40-ft long flat car increases load capacity (74 t) and loading volume (122 cbm), which means that each railcar can carry up to 10 cbm more cargo. (ben)
