Best eco-drivers honoured
25 drivers from 25 countries recently competed in the finals of the Optifuel Challenge organised by Renault Trucks in Lyon (France) for the award for the most fuel-efficient driving technique.
The title of best eco-driver was awarded to the driver Frantisek Oravec from the Slovakian family-owned company of the same name. He won a Renault Trucks T High 480 (2019 model) and a EUR 6,000 shopping voucher.
Piotr Krahel, the Polish driver of Concept Cargo Logistics, gained second place and Pascal Bosser, the French driver of Transports Rollin, came in third. The Swiss representative Reto Winterberger of Wüthrich Transporte, Pieterlen, reached seventh place, Renault Trucks Switzerland reported. (ben)
