Bertschi expands Rotterdam terminal
The Swiss intermodal chemical logistics specialist Bertschi will open an extension of its terminal in the Dutch port of Rotterdam by the end of this year. The upgrade will position the terminal as a key hub in the port, Bertschi reported in a social media post on Linked-In.
The expansion brings the total storage capacity to 6,000 teu, with 2,200 teu dedicated to dangerous goods and improving handling solutions for both local production and import flows.
Just recently, the group inaugurated a new intermodal terminal in Antwerp, Belgium (ITJ 22.11.2024). Its Rotterdam terminal provides various train and ship connections to continental Europe as well as a direct shipping link to Teesport (UK) handling more than 14,500 containers per year. (ben)
