Belarus to become rail hub between Vietnam and Europe
At OSJD Railway’s 34th general directors’ conference in Seoul (South Korea) last week, the heads of Belarusian Railway and Vietnam Railways discussed railfreight deliveries from Vietnam to Europe, including Belarus.
During the meeting, Belintertrans, the transport logistics centre operated by Belarussian Railway, and the rail transportation and trading company Retraco (a subsidiary of Vietnam Railways) concluded long-term transport and logistics contracts with the aim of implementing future-oriented projects for freight services between Asia and Europe, including the use of the logistics hub and dry port in Kaliadzičy (Belarus).
