Beacon finds new traction lessee in Spain
Beacon Rail Leasing has acquired nine Bitrac locomotives from Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF). The traction will be leased to SNCF Captrain España. The lessor said: “The acquisition is a natural extension of Beacon Rail’s strategy."
The new locomotives will add to Beacon’s existing portfolio of dual mode locomotives and allow the company to continue to leverage its skills, expertise, and experience.
Headquartered in Luxembourg, the rolling stock lessor focusses on serving the European and UK markets. The company’s current portfolio includes, inter alia, 337 locomotives and over 1,000 freight wagons. (ben)
