Barcelona: port’s rail control centre goes ahead
Ardanuy Ingeniería will coordinate the implementation of the railway control centre for the port of Barcelona (Spain). A framework contract to this effect was signed recently.
The Spanish consulting company will participate in all phases of the work and be involved in the entire life cycle of this new railway facility from its functional design to defining the works that will have to be contracted and, in its final stage, carrying out the works management for the various projects that will be implemented.
The future railway control centre will manage and coordinate the port’s railway operation including a centralised traffic control centre as well as any remote controls and subsystems considered necessary. (ben)
