Barcelona port’s Boqué to chair IAPH committee
The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), which represents 191 ports and 165 port-related businesses which handle a third of global maritime trade, has appointed Ingrid Boqué, the director of institutional relations at the port of Barcelona, as the chair of its data collaboration technical committee. She’ll assume the role at the IAPH’s committee days in London from 26-28 March.
Boqué was previously the global strategic networks officer at the Hamburg Port Authority, which also saw her contribute to IAPH committees and co-author the ‘Risk and Resilience’ guidelines. She also managed the ‘ChainPort’ initiative and played a key role in the IAPH 2024 World Ports Conference.
Boqué, who holds a master’s degree in business administration, began her maritime career in the cruise sector before joining the port of Barcelona in October 2023. She succeeds Pascal Ollivier, who led digitalisation efforts during the pandemic. She’ll continue to advance port data collaboration, alongside deputy chair Gadi Benmoshe. (ah)
