Martin Wawra, currently managing director of Voith Turbo in China and the joint ventures with CRRC, is taking over the management of the mobility division and joining Voith Turbo’s management board from June this year. He replaces Cornelius Weitzmann, who will succeed Uwe Knother as chairman of the company’s management board on the same date.
Wawra is an experienced manager from within the Heidenheim (Germany) based technology company that was founded in 1867.
He joined the Voith Group as sales engineer in 1994. Since 2021 he has held several executive positions, overseeing the development of production and construction for major growth projects in China. He also headed sales for the mobility division in Asia. (amh)
