Austrian truck/rail terminals to be automated

Terminal Service Austria (TSA), an affiliate of ÖBB, operates five intermodal terminals in Austria, offering road and rail connections to European markets. Now, Camco Technologies has been selected as the firm’s partner for gate and rail automation at the Wolfurt, Wels and Vienna South TSA intermodal terminals (all in Austria). The terminals currently make use of manual gate systems.

Each terminal will integrate two truck video gates as well as an in and outbound kiosk for the automated checking of trucks and cargo. For rail wagon and cargo registration, the three transhipment facilities will rely on the rail camera portal of Camco Technologies. One rail video gate will be in action at each end of the terminal.
