Augmenting hinterland services
Bansard International recently acquired a first batch of thirty P400 trailers. They are used on a weekly basis on the French rail network between Avignon and Valenton.
The P400 trailers are designed for multimodal transport and are adapted to the rail and motorway networks. They are equipped with a loading system that allows the trailer to be placed on a dedicated wagon by a stacker or a crane.
Bansard offers ro-ro services connecting Tunisia with various hubs in France, via the port of Marseille. To improve its multimodal services, the group is partnering with Novatrans to expand its international road services by introducing a pick-up station for the P400 trailers close to Marseille. (ben)
