Atlas Air with strong Q1 results


Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc has announced a net income of USD 81.5 million for the first quarter of 2022, or USD 2.38 per diluted share, compared with USD 89.9 million (USD 3.05 per diluted share) in 2021. (Last year included USD 40.9 million of Cares Act grant income, or USD 31.9 million after tax.)

 

On an adjusted basis Atlas Air’s ebitda came to USD 202.8 million in Q1/2022, compared to USD 181.3 million in the prior-year period. For the three months to 31 March, adjusted net income stood at USD 88.8 million (USD 2.99 per diluted share), compared with USD 72.2 million in 2021 (USD 2.45 per diluted share).

 

Atlas Air Worldwide president and CEO John W. Dietrich is pleased that “we’re off to an excellent start to 2022. We delivered strong earnings, despite the pandemic-related operational challenges we continue to navigate.” (cj)
