Atlas Air expands partnerships
Atlas Air, a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings and Cainiao Network (“Cainiao”), the logistics arm of Alibaba Group, are expanding their strategic partnership by adding a new Boeing 747-8 freighter under a long-term agreement to increase capacity on routes between China and the Americas, enhancing their logistic capacities as mentioned in our article.
The new aircraft will enter service for Cainiao in Q2/2022, linking China with USA, Brazil and Chile. Atlas Air has also entered into a long-term, dedicated charter agreement to operate two of its new incoming Boeing 747-8 freighters on a global basis for Kuehne + Nagel, one of the world’s largest freight forwarders.
