Astre growing in Portugal
Transport and logistics service provider Astre has added Transportes do Valado to its network, thus expanding its portfolio on the Iberian Peninsula. Valado is a Portuguese company that operates in 193 countries worldwide. It has a fleet of 114 road transport vehicles and has also been offering maritime shipment services for two years.
By adding Valado to its network to 160 medium-sized transport companies, Astre hopes to be able to export from Portugal to any country in Europe in the near future. Astre generated a turnover of EUR 3.3 billion in 2022 and currently serves more than 70,000 customers with around 20,000 employees. It runs a fleet of more than 1,100 vehicles and 19 logistics facilities on the Iberian Peninsula alone. (ben)
