Asia-Europe rail service added
The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has launched a new intermodal solution between Asia and Europe combining both sea and rail services departing from China, Korea and Japan Russia to Europe.
The train runs through Russia, passing Vladivostok and Vostochniy with further feeder connections from St Petersburg.
From St. Petersburg, cargoes can be shipped directly to some of the major European hubs such as Antwerp (Belgium), Bremerhaven (Germany), Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and Le Havre (France). Transit time from Shanghai to Bremerhaven is 33 days, to Antwerp 35, to Rotterdam 36 and to Le Havre 37 days. (ben)
