ASA: Wellington Koo hands over the baton
Angad Banga of the Caravel Group was elected as new chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA) on the 22 November 2023. He succeeded Wellington Koo, of Valles Steamship, who stepped down after completing his two-year term. Banga also took over the chairmanship of Asian Shipowners’ Association (ASA) at the same time.
Banga: "I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead ASA during this transformative period in the maritime sector. The challenges we face are significant, but so are the opportunities. Wogether, with the collective strength of our members, we will chart a course towards sustainable growth, technological advancement, and enhanced collaboration with in the Asian and the global shipping community."
