Arvato adds to UK portfolio
In a further expansion in the UK market, logistics provider Arvato is taking over warehousing and transport management for Avon, a cosmetics company. The deal builds on an already existing partnership: Arvato has been responsible for Avon’s logistics operations in Italy since October 2022.
Arvato has acquired the site of the cosmetics company in Corby, where it has been based for more than 55 years. With 31,000 sqm of warehousing and 6,000 sqm of office space, the hub offers access to the Midlands’ ‘Golden Logistics Triangle’, with good links to the national road networks.
Birmingham is around 50 km away. This acquisition adds to Arvato’s existing network of centres, now totaling four in the UK. “This sale will mean a positive, long-term investment in the Corby site with a business as usual service for our representatives and customers," said Alex Long, general manager, Avon’s UK business.
