APM Terminals to develop in Rijeka
In November 2021, APM Terminals (51%) and Enna Logic (49%) signed a concession agreement to design, construct and operate a new container terminal, Rijeka Gateway.
On Croatia's North Adriatic coast, the project will be developed in two phases, with phase one due for completion in 2025.
Once completed, the terminal will have a 680 m long berth, an annual throughput of 1,055,000 teu and be able to serve vessels up to 24,000 teu, currently the largest type of container vessel. A rail connection with the hinterland is part of the project. (sh)
