Antitrust authorities approve acquisition
Green light for the transaction agreed at the beginning of May: the antitrust authorities have approved the acquisition of 66 % of the business shares of Quehenberger Logistics (Augustin Quehenberger Group) by the Geis Group.
"Geis is very well positioned in the areas of efficiency, quality and sustainability, while we at Quehenberger are very advanced in terms of digitalisation and artificial intelligence,” says Christian Fürstaller, CEO and co-owner of Quehenberger Logistics.
"Together we will now combine the best of both companies and develop it further." Geis and Quehenberger now have a total of around 10,000 employees at around 200 locations in 13 countries and generate a turnover of around EUR 2 billion. (mk)
