Another six-axle hybrid locomotive for Flex
The Leipzig-(Germany)-based railfreight carrier has had a Euro Dual locomotive in operation since August 2023. It has now ordered a second Euro Dual from the leasing company European Loc Pool (ELP). Delivery is scheduled for January 2025.
The Euro Dual, which is produced by the Swiss manufacturer Stadler-Rail, is a six-axle hybrid locomotive, designed for the first and last mile. It can transport very heavy loads and has up to 2.8 MW under diesel power and up to 6.2 MW under electric power.
Flex is an authorised railway company providing transports of freight trains throughout Germany and last-mile services. (ben)
