Another route for food transport
RZD Logistics is transporting fresh and frozen products by train from the Chinese Shandong Province to Moscow for the first time.
The train, consisting of 50 autonomous refrigerated containers with fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, as well as other food and medical supplies with a total weight of 1,000 t left Zibo station on Tuesday, 1 February 2022.
The train will cross the Chinese-Russian border at Manchuria-Zabaikalsk-Manchuria and probably arrive at the Russian capital on 18 February. RZDL acts as a train operator along the entire route and implements a range of services (provision of wagons, customs clearance, payment of tariffs, organisation of the first and last mile). (ben)
