Another bridgehead in Benelux
UK-based operator Europa Road recently opened a new base in the Netherlands. The road haulage division of Europa Worldwide Group set up its own groupage operation in Rotterdam after twelve months of planning. On 1 February 2023, the ten-strong team was ready for business, led by Guy Dunmow (previously branch manager for Europa in Bristol) and Dirk Van Thillo.
The company already has an established presence in Belgium and is now extending its services to Dutch businesses.
“We operate 400 trailers purely on Benelux-UK business, performing over 22,000 crossings per year," said Andrew Baxter chief executive of Europa.
The group now employs over 1,300 people with 19 sales offices in UK and the Republic of Ireland, plus European teams in Belgium and the Netherlands and internationally in Hong Kong, China and UAE. (sh)
