ANA Cargo launches direct B777F NRT-PVG service
Starting from today, 26 August 2019, All Nippon Airways (ANA) will offer a direct cargo flight from Tokyo NRT (Japan) to Shanghai PVG (China), operated with its new B777F. ANA introduced the Triple Seven to its fleet on 2 July, aiming to react to increased cargo demand in Asia and North America.
The "Blue Jay", a specially-designed aircraft, has the ability to transport large items ranging from aircraft engines to semiconductor manufacturing equipment as well as cargo requiring a high degree of care such as lithium batteries and pharmaceuticals.
Until 25 August, it operated connecting cargo flights from NRT to PVG with a stop at Kansai International Airport (Japan). ANA will add cargo flights to its North American operations starting on 27 October with B777F flights which will transport items from NRT to Chicago (IL, USA). (ah)
