An old and new brand in Argentina

In September 2020 the towing company Svitzer took over the firm Madero Amarres from Grupo Meridian in Argentina, and subsequently changed the company name of the subsidiary to Svitzer Argentina. Now the company has acquired a new client in Argentina. On 1 April Svitzer started a four-year contract with Oiltanking to serve the latter at its piers at Punta Ancla and Punta Cigüeña in Puerto Rosales.

Svitzer has been active in Argentina since 2016, serving its customers with nine ships in four ports, namely Buenos Aires, Bahia Blanca, Rosario and Necochea. Around 140 employees work in Svitzer’s onshore and offshore sectors in Argentina. (cd)
