Americold's Arkansas addition
Russellville, Arkansas, is seeing the latest expansion of Americold Realty Trust’s operations in the temperature-controlled logistics sector.
As part of the USD 90 million investment, Americold has built a new 12,170 sqm cold storage and distribution facility at its existing location in Russellville. It has added on 42,000 pallet positions, 368,119 cbm, and a higher emphasis on automation.
“This facility was built with state-of-the-art automation to support production and the supply chain for a major North American food company,” says Americold CEO George Chappelle.
The company has also committed to give back to local communities by working with Feed the Children, its partner of six years. Over 300 local families will receive a 11.3 kg box of food and a 6.8 kg box of personal-care essential items. (mk)
