Air Mauritius receives first of two A330-900neos

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) delivered the first of two new Airbus A330-900neo aircraft on long-term lease to Air Mauritius. ALC executive chairman Steven F. Udvar-Házy: "This delivery marks the 25th anniversary of our leasing relationship with our friends at Air Mauritius, which is expanding its fleet and route network."

The national carrier of the Republic of Mauritius is the first A330neo operator based in the southern hemisphere, and the first airline in the world to operate a combination of both the A330neo and A350 XWB.

The company will deploy the aircraft with a 33 ULD bellyhold capacity on routes connecting Mauritius to Europe (mainly London and Geneva), India and South East Asia, and on regional destinations including Johannesburg, Antananarivo and Reunion Island. (ah)
