Air Creebec to take over its first ATR freighter
Acia Aero Leasing, a Dublin-headquartered provider of regional aircraft leasing and lease management services, has sold an ATR 72-500 LCD freighter to Air Creebec, a Canadian regional carrier based in Val-d'Or, Quebec, founded in 1982.
The aircraft is the first ATR to be introduced to its fleet of 18 passenger airliners and two cargo aircraft. It will enter operations next month, replacing a Hawker Siddeley HS 748 cargo aircraft. Originally converted to a bulk freighter in 2021, it has been upgraded with a large cargo door (LCD) at Empire Aerospace, in Idaho, USA.
Tanya Pash, Air Creebec's president and CEO: "The LCD variant will afford us greater flexibility in our cargo operations as we improve essential access to food and necessities to our remote clients in the far north." (ah)
