Acting for passive cold chain solutions
Envirotainer, a provider of cold chain solutions for air transportation of pharmaceuticals, has launched "Releye® RLP", a temperature-controlled air freight container which is said to "fill a substantial gap in the cold-chain pharma air freight market".
The company's latest innovation uses the space of two one-pallet solutions to deliver three euro-pallets, increasing cost-efficiency by 50%. It is the first in a family of temperature-controlled air freight containers Envirotainer is preparing to roll out in the near term.
The new container provides a fully independent temperature-control system, "a new dimension of visibility" through 18 integrated sensors, an autonomy for over 170 hours and sustainability thanks to a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to available passive solutions based on a life-cycle analysis.
