AAL Americas celebrates first decade
Ten years ago, AAL Shipping formed its AAL Americas division, which has been pivotal in developing Pacific trade and trans-Atlantic services from its Houston base.
AAL Americas specialises in transporting oversized project cargo and other commodities, adapting to global trade shifts, particularly the USA’s diversification from China to markets like Vietnam and Thailand. This change reflects increased industrial activities in these regions.
AAL Americas has also supported the USA’s growing renewable energy sector, particularly wind energy, which has seen significant investment. Looking ahead, the division plans to introduce new 'Super B-Class' vessels, enhancing its capacity to handle more diverse and voluminous cargo. This expansion will extend its reach into Central and South America and focus on infrastructure and renewable energy projects. (pb)
