A tool to lower language barriers on the road
The logistics company Quehenberger (part of the German Gais Group) has developed an app for truck drivers that aims to improve the quality of service and support drivers on the road.
The tool is linked to the transport management system installed on the vehicles so that employees can easily log on to the trucks using a QR code. In addition to document and photo uploads and a damage management function, the app also includes a chat feature in over 100 languages.
Therefore, everyone involved in the supply chain has immediate access to all information, regardless of language, which is a huge advantage on international routes, especially in Eastern European countries that use the Cyrillic alphabet, Quenenberger says. (ben)
