A sustainable multi-level hub
As its next real estate project, Thielemann Group is planning to develop two multi-level logistics hubs in the Fusion Cologne district directly at the Niehler Port in Cologne. One project will be built in collaboration with Häfen und Güterverkehr Köln (HGK). The other hub will be used by the Recht Logistik Gruppe.
Fusion Cologne was developed and revitalised by HGK, with a focus on sustainable and modern infrastructure, making it an attractive location for Thielemann’s 100,000 sqm logistics facilities. With a total investment of EUR 140 million, the facilities are set to create around 500 jobs.
“With our multi-level properties, we will make double use of the space, thus prioritising sustainability and efficiency,” says Navid Thielemann, CEO of Thielemann Group. The developer is aiming for a DGNB Gold certification with the installation of local heating and photovoltaic systems. (mk)
