A storage facility near the Ural Mountains
The multimodal operator RZD Logistics (RZDL) is opening a temporary storage facility on the site of the "Dry Port Tchaikovsky" container terminal in Perm near the Ural Mountains. RDZL and the container owner Kvadrat signed an agreement to this effect at the Trans-Russia exhibition last week.
In addition to storage operations for finished vehicles and vehicle kits, RZDL will also provide various other terminal and customs services in the new facility. It is located at the junction of the four Russian republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Udmurtia and Perm and can handle trains with a length of 71 conventional wagons. (ben)
