A step towards sustainable stretch film
Mopi has released its new Hunter Nano Pac Stretch Film made from at least 30% recycled plastic. Mopi is a pallet stretch film supplier based in Singapore. Its main focus used to be on petroleum-based stretch film, of which it sold over 2,000 t in 2023.
innovation reduces the ecological footprint while retaining efficient packaging, the company says. The stretch film is thinner than previous versions but stronger and more durable. It is still mostly made of petroleum-based plastic as more sustainable alternatives are not yet economically viable.
Therefore, while the Hunter Nano Pac is an improvement on the company’s previous products, there is still much more innovation required to combat plastic pollution. (mk)
