A robotic collaboration for Locus and ITG
Locus Robotics and ITG have formed a new partnership in the automated logistics sector. Locus Robotics develops logistics solutions with autonomous mobile robots, while ITG is a logistics service provider based in Germany.
A central warehouse is being built at the ITG site in Schwaig / Munich, which is to supply all of the customer's B2B retail customers and own shops worldwide.
In the Locus system, the robots move autonomously through the picking area and the picking staff only carry out picking and putaway. The Locus solution is scalable for seasonal peaks. The plan is to use 42 robots on an area of approx. 5,400 sqm. Commissioning of the new central warehouse is planned for Q2/2024. (mk)
