A regular container train from Moscow to Siberia
Transcontainer has launched a regular domestic service for container deliveries from the Moscow region to Omsk in Siberia. Transit time is three days. The company is expecting to operate three trains a month to start with. The service is focused on the shipment of food products and construction materials, Transcontainer’s parent company Delo Group said.
Loaded with 40 teu, the first train of the new offer was dispatched late in August 2023. Its advantage is a high speed of delivery thanks to tight route schedules and the fact that no sorting is required on the train journey, Delo Group added. (ben)
