A prime location for Primark
Built on 51,097 sqm in North Jacksonville and opened last week, the distribution centre is Primark’s latest expansion in the USA. The clothing retailer plans continue growing in the Southern US market, focusing on Florida, Texas, and other states.
New stores will now follow in four cities in Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, and Texas, and the additional 11,891 sqm of selling space will be serviced by the Jacksonville distribution centre and another hub in Pennsylvania.
Primark plans to import cargo through the Jacksonville Port Authority, just a one-day truck drive away from nearly 100 million US consumers. The retailer seeks to reach the milestone of 60 stores in the USA by 2026. (mk)
