A partner on the other side of the pond
UK-based Walker Logistics has joined forces with NRI Distribution, a North American supply chain solutions provider, to enhance shipping services between Europe and the USA and Canada. Walker can now access NRI’s North American infrastructure, allowing it to fulfil its clients’ B2B and B2C orders in these areas.
NRI has been building its network since 1997 and specialises in logistics services for the apparel/outdoor lifestyle industries. Walker’s clients will benefit from having a logistics partner “on the ground” on the other side of the Atlantic. NRI will now be able to leverage Walker’s fulfilment network in the UK and the Netherlands, from where it can store and dispatch its North American clients’ goods in Europe.
In addition to the fulfilment hubs, Walker runs a 23,225 sqm multi-client facility near Reading and Swindon, which is it currently extending by more than 50%. (mk)
