A new fulfilment hub in Hesse
From March Hermes Fulfilment will take over storage and dispatch of goods for the Otto Group from a new location in Hesse (Germany).
Hermes Fulfilment launched its ‘F2X’ IT and logistics platform in spring 2023. The software solution makes it possible to connect external retailers to the Otto Group's marketplaces. ‘F2X’ makes it possible for customers to use all of the services along the Otto Group's supply chain (transport, customs clearance, last mile).
The four halls of the site in Gernsheim, southern Hesse, cover 35,000 sqm. The goods include clothing, small furniture and large electrical appliances. The warehouse has around 36,000 pallet slots.
As a result of the expansion, Knut Talman will become the new CIO of the IT company Hermes Fufilment Tech Solutions, founded last year, on 1 February 2024. (mk)
