A new block train between France and Germany
Ekol Logistics has opened a new block train route between Sète, France and Cologne, Germany, in cooperation with DFDS. The service represents an alternative link between Turkey and Europe via Trieste, Ekol said.
The partners expect business volumes to grow on Italy’s railway networks in the near future, with increased demand for railfreight services on the Sète route.
The train leaves Sète on Mondays and Thursdays, and Cologne on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It has 19 railway cars and can carry 38 trailers and containers. (ben)
