A multi-port training project
The “NeXTraIn.Ports” project, launched in Livorno, Italy, aims to advance the training of port-logistics professionals through immersive XR training programmes.
Co-funded by the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture under the Erasmus+ programme, this initiative is spearheaded by the Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Settentrionale in cooperation with Fundación Valenciaport.
It seeks to enhance skills in energy and digital transitions within the port-logistics sector, involving European ports like Valencia, Rotterdam, and Venice and focuses on port management, cargo handling, and operational logistics.
The project will also establish a profiles manual and training pathways using XR technologies, thus contributing to a comprehensive professional development framework in the sector. (pb)
